Where's Tab?
After much thought I have decided to leave blogging for awhile.
There's come a point in this writer's life where I need to take some time to look after me and my words.
I'll be back at the end of the American Summer (for my Northern hemisphere readers) or the beginning of the Australian Spring (for my southern hemisphere readers).
By then I hope to have swallowed the rains.
I hope to have watered the open mouthed earth.
I hope to have touched the dry places and saved the drowning ones. Know what I mean?
Life is hard ground right now. And the writing has dried up. It's time for a break.
I will miss those who visit my space here. I email many of you anyway though.
So, I'll see you on your blogs and I'll be back here soon.

Just yesterday, I was wondering where you had gone. I would smack you for leaving, but you can kick box and you would kill me. So I won't!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a wise woman. Take care. xx
ReplyDeleteEveryone needs a break once in a while...take care and all the best for your writing :)
ReplyDeleteI said recently that blogging is a means with which to achieve other victories...so sometimes you have to put it aside...
ReplyDeleteWrite hard, write well and we look forward to your return.
Renew, refresh, then return.
ReplyDeleteHave a great summer! We all need to break away for awhile. I've been giving it much thought myself. We'll see you when you get back.
ReplyDeleteI take breaks now and then too... never too long though...
ReplyDeleteHope to see you soon, sweet woman
:)
Sorry about that 'hard ground' Tabitha. But we were born from there. We dig through better than most. Take your break. Plant your seeds. I love to watch you bloom!

Take care, dear one. xo
ReplyDeleteTabitha, you have a gift and I'm glad to have opened it in bits. I really think this is the nature of the writing life. We must keep reassessing where we're at personally and what we need to do with the limited energy we all have. If you find yourself wandering back, please let us know so we can rejoin you! Let your butterfly wings carry you to new heights!
ReplyDeleteHi tabitha Bird,

Take care of yourself and come back with your luminous ink.

ReplyDeleteA vacation...not leaving. Okay, that's acceptable. We all need time for ourselves sometimes to renew and grow. Enjoy your time.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy.
ReplyDeleteTo everything there's a season. Enjoy your time off.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you're going through some rough times, and I'll miss the beautiful poetry of your blog posts. But I can totally understand the need for some distance from blogging. It can be as exhausting as it is rewarding. Everyone needs a little (or a lot of) time to rejuvenate now and then. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteTabs, big hugs and prayers are with you.
ReplyDeleteLove you.
Yup. I know exactly what you mean. Enjoy your time off and your winter season and see you / read you whenever you return!

Recharging batteries are best done in the quiet zone
ReplyDeleteWithout the tone
of pressing words
and birds,
that swallow a silence song
Peace, patience and prayers be with you, Tab!
